So you need to open them and re-arrange and resize. all applications that are multi monitor displayed (like for example stock trading applications) are closed. Then I made ASUS my main monitor, but the issue still persisted, in a bit different way, e.g. So every time the monitors (or computer) go to sleep and they wake up, you need to re-arrange and resize all windows all over again. They all are moved to my main Dell monitor. Then the issue started: every time the monitors go to the power safe mode and then I wake them up (mouse, keyboard, whatever), Dell wakes up perfectly, but ASUS loses DisplayPort signal, and all windows that I put on it previously are no longer there. I connected it to the DisplayPort and moved my Dell to the DVI-D, still keeping Dell in the configuration as my main display. Now, because Dell U2412M is my favorite among the two (it’s really a work horse, not a single complaint), I gave my Samsung to my son and bought ASUS PB287Q which is 4K, because it was on a huge discount in the local BestBuy (I live in British Columbia, Canada). It cannot generate 60Hz, only 30Hz, but it gives very nice 4K output. If you ask whether Intel HD Graphics 4000 support 4k - yes, it is.

Both are working perfectly. I wanted to upgrade one of the monitors to a 4K. I have two monitors connected to the docking station: Dell U2412M via DisplayPort (serving as my main display) and Samsung SynchMaster 2433 (via DVI-D). The laptop is connected to a docking station which has three video outputs: VGA, DVI-D and DisplayPort.

All my drivers and software is up to date. I’m considering to buy Dell monitor instead, but before doing so I'm wondering if it may have a similar issue. My question here is triggered by a recent purchase and eventually return of another brand monitor which had an issue as described below. I came here to check some issues before I buy a new monitor.įirst of all, let me tell you - you provide an amazing support here! Prompt, professional, pleasant! I haven't seen similar level of support on other forums.
